Located on the outskirts of the city in the 19th century, this was where buildings that required considerable amounts of space were constructed: convents, military garrisons, the “Universidad Central”, factories, etc. Soldiers, monks, students and factory workers all rubbed shoulders in this neighbourhood, giving it a distinctive and particular character that we will discover together.
